The CGV day 19

GOLD

Pics are here!!!!!!

nice colour me thinks

Who's that shooting then????

Who's the Man

It meant a great deal to be on that rostrum!!!!

We like pictures....

The wall of fame.....

As you can imagine, I am over the moon and still climbing.

Thank you to all who have helped, supported and well wished me to this medal. Everyone has played their part, Thank you all. I can't wait to get back home and see all you guys and celebrate this success with you all. I think its going to be one huge, messy and long party!!!

Well done to Johanne on her bronze medal, fantastic!!!

Already shooting have won more medals here than we did back in 2002 in Manchester. Another interesting stat is that Welsh shooting has won a gold medal at the last 4 consecutive Commonwealth games, and we don't have a Welsh national facility!!!! Just think what we could achieve if we had one!!!!!!

I'm going to be quite lame here and leave this for the moment and carry on the drinking! I'm thinking I need the practice for when I get back, because I intend to get battered with anyone and all of you who would like to join me!!!

( will uplaod pics as soon as blogger allows me!!!!)

Dave
Commonwealth Champion prone rifle

(sounds good, I think I like it)

i'd like to take you up on the offer of buying all your mates a drink!! (for all our support!!)

"congratulations" seems a little lame in light of the HUMONGOUS display of concentaration and skill.

I wish you all the best for the future (where to next then?) and as always, i'm honoured and proud to call you "my friend"

catch ya when you get home - and i intend to join you on the journey to "smashed-ville" (near "paraletic city")

What a triumph, well done Dave for making our 3,600km round drive from Brisbane to Melbourne so worthwhile. As a spectator last Wednesday at the range I've never felt so tense watching a sport I knew absolutely nothing about! I don't know how you can hold your concentration under such pressure, but you did, and we are all proud to have been there for you. The opportunity to see both Gold and Bronze medals made the trip of such significance to my two girls who are now getting huge bragging rights about the fame of their second cousin. Well done to "uncle" Bill as well. I've never seen such a proud Dad in my life. Wishing you a safe trip back to the UK, and hopefully a raptuous reception from your growing number of fans. Don't forget you've got a growing fan club over here now as well, so you will need to come back to visit again some day!
