The CGV day 9

Once again apologies are in order as I have missed another day of the blog. Was a bit of a busy day yesterday, what with shooting, waiting, meet and greets and, well get to the rest later in the post!!!

First up some quotes

Johanne on the weather yesterday: "y'know its like WHOOSH, when you open the oven door, but only all the time here" - Yes a very hot day, Jenny recorded 42C at one point in the village!!
Heard this one, can't remember who though: " If that one had been a 10 instead my score would have been much better!" - well Duhhh.

Pictures speak a thousand words.....
Sunday 12th March Ladies Individual badge match

Johanne Brekke - Commonwealth games federation Badge match GOLD medalist
Bloody nice one!!!
(though looking as chilled and relaxed as we all know her to be!!!)

Sunday 12th March Mens individual badge match

The overal listThe second (my) detail

I shot really well and satisfied with my result. I make no excuses because I should have won that match (dropped 2 points in my last 3 shots DOHHH) though as you can see from the scores overal the second detail was much more tricky. The best is yet to come!!!!

.Com with his Bronze Medal, nice one mate.

Monday 13th March Ladies 3 Position badge match

Sian Corish - Commonwealth games federation badge match BRONZE medalist
Nice one!!!!!

Its not all sunshine and heat here, some images from this mornings "welcome to the Commonwealth games village for team Wales"

the brollies are not for the sunshine!!

Part of the welcome performance

Come on guys, I know its early, but WAKE UP!!!!

Always an emotional moment for me: The raising of the flag, Anthem playing, surrounded by team Wales

A breeze, the Dragon unfurls its claws and prepares to breathe fire.

Hmm, seemed like a good idea earlier....

Our team coaches Bill Phelps and Irene Daw putting the brollies to good use again, though not due to rain this time!!!

Jedi snowman - Obi snowy chilled-wan???

This is one from home, taken at the Black Cock Inn by the guys. You all know who I'm on about, name yourselves in the comments!! Nice one!!!

Thats it for today folks, sorry to those dial up losers for all the pics - get broadband, much faster and better. There's a few more things going on tomorrow so will update then depending on wether or not we go out and get LAMF (ask Phill for the explaination)

Great result in the pairs; congratulations to you and Griff from all at Cardiff Rifle Club. Very best wishes for the singles. The Web site is great, it gives us a good feel for the games and for how you are enjoying it.
