Here are some final images from the village on the day we left the village. It was quite emotional (no I didn't quite cry) to see the village closing down and waving goodbye to various teams and people I'd met. It had been home for quite a while and its a place that will forever stay in my memory as a part of home from home.

And that was the end of the Commonwealth Games Melbourne 2006 for me. A highly successfull and enjoyable experience for not just myself but the team also.

Looking forward to seeing some of the pics from your gold medal party at the black cock, and with the potential of the 'World Cup' coming up you have to keep this site up and running (we dont want to see it go the same way as 'casual dining') far too many people rely on this site to relive the bordum of thier office jobs.
I will have to have a word with your press secretary, and see if i can get her to persude you to keep it going.
